In Memory of Shortie

This was Shortie, our little runt we got from my grandpa's farm early May, 2005. She was very weak and small that the other pigs really picked on her. This hit my parents hard and they asked if they could bring her home. Grandpa said he was a okay with it and we brought her home.

Her full name was Shortbread, because of how pinkish white she was.

She lived a week longer than grandpa expected until one day, her lung constricted and she had very difficulty breathing. My other grandpa was there and he brought her to the vet.

Sadly, she died of pnemmonia (spelling?). She was barely a month old, but she lived a happy week that she was supposed to die.

My little cousin, Faith, who is also in the picture above, was heartbroken. Her and the piglet formed a very strong bond and Faith never left that piglet by herself.
